3/4 inch ML402 braided packing.

ML402 features a blend of synthetic fibers treated with specially formulated lubricants with a saxoline base.The lubrication formulation makes the extra difference for this style of packing. The ductile nature of the lubricant added prevents wicking and provides superior sealability. Each strand is individually coated with graphite and receives a final secondary surface coating of graphite after braiding.

ML402 braided packing is recommended for general service on rotary and reciprocating equipment in mild acids, alkalies, steam, brine, and oil.

ML402 is suitable for shaft speeds up to 1885 fpm. The max temperature is 450°F / 232°C and the pH range is 4-10.

ML3600 is engineered with an expanded PTFE/graphite composite fibers. Finely ground particles of the highest quality graphite are encapsulated in the PTFE matrix to eliminate graphite migration.

ML3600 braided packing is an excellent general service packing for pumps, agitators, and mixers. It is suitable for a wide range of plant applications, including aggressive fluids and high temperatures.

SEPCO 560 braided packing

3/4 inch ML560 braided packing.

ML560 is a high-performance, carbon fiber braided packing. It is manufactured through a heat treatment process of a synthetic yarn. These yarns are processed through multiple heat treatments to achieve the desired carbon or graphite content. Because of its high thermal conductivity and lubricity, this packing can operate without flush water in some applications.

ML560 braided packing is excellent in pumping slurries where the packing experiences premature failure. It is recommended for high-speed rotary pumps and slurry service, pumps and agitators in pulp and paper, mining, and other process industries.

ML560 is suitable for shaft speeds up to 4000 fpm. The max temperature is 1250°F / 538°C (in non-oxidizing conditions) and 850°F / 454°C (in oxidizing conditions) and the pH range is 0-14.

SEPCO 6225 braided packing

ML6225 is a proprietary blend of non-asbestos TEK-PRO yarns treated with PTFE throughout the packing. The TEK-PRO yarns retain a greater volume of PTFE dispersion and are more uniformly distributed to provide longer and better sealing plus resistance to chemical attack. A light lubricant is applied under pressure to improve run-in properties.

ML6225 braided packing is recommended for paper mill applications, recovery pumps, chemical applications, and caustic soda. It is an excellent all-around, general service chemical packing. Suitable for rotating and reciprocating pump and valve equipment, mixers, and agitators.

ML6225 is suitable for shaft speeds up to 1885 fpm. The max temperature is 500°F / 260°C and the pH range is 3-12.

ML2001 is a flexible braided graphite packing style that is constructed with pure homogenous graphite bonded to a carrier for strength and thermal stability. It has no added lubricants or binders to cook out or become brittle.

Recommended for rotating shafts where high speeds and thermal conductivity are required, including applications with unlimited shaft speeds.

ML2001 is suitable for shaft speeds up to Unlimited. The max temperature is 1200°F/649°C (in steam) and 850°F/454°C (in oxidizing conditions) and the pH range is 0-14 except in strong oxidizers.

ML4461 is a high-performing, carbon filament packing treated throughout with PTFE to help prevent color contamination and carbon migration. Each strand of the carbon yarn is treated and impregnated with a PTFE suspensoid, totally encapsulating the packing to prevent carbon filaments from migrating into the system.

ML4461 braided packing is constructed to work best with high temperature and high shaft speed applications. It is recommended for use in demanding applications such as digesters, outlet devices, steam vessels, and top separators. ML4461 can be used in most chemical services, except strong oxidizers.

SEPCO 4800 braided packing

ML4800 is consutrcuted of aramid fibers. Aramid is a hard fiber that forms imperfectly around a shaft, creating gaps that accelrarate leakage. The aramid fibers are treated with PTFE dispersion, which fills and seals the gaps in the packing fibers. After braiding, a PTFE coating is applied and the packing is forced air-dried. ML4800 packing will not wick.

ML4800 braided packing performs well in extremely abrasive environments. It is recommended for caustics, mild acids, chemicals, air, oil, gases, solvents, and general service applications.

ML4800 is suitable for shaft speeds up to 1900 fpm. The max temperature is 500°F / 260°C and the pH range is 3-11.

A lantern ring is a perforated hollow ring located near the center of the stuffing box of a pump. Despite its simplistic appearance, it plays a crucial role in the successful operation of a pump system.

Placing a lantern ring between packing rings extends the life of the packing, the stuffing box, and the shaft. Ultimately, this increases the lifespan of the whole system long term.

Suitable for temperatures up to 550° F and pH 0 to 14.

Sold in roll form. Each roll is 48 inches long. Can be cut to the specific length needed, therefore eliminating the need to stock many different size rings.
