SEPCO 4002 braided packing

3/4 inch ML4002 braided packing.

ML4002 is made of 100% GFO® fibers with the W. L. Gore seal of approval. It is an excellent, all around packing exhibiting good thermal conductivity characteristics resulting in higher shaft speed and feet-per-minute (fpm) ratings.

Packings containing 100% GFO® fibers give maintenance engineers consistently high-performing general service packing for a wide range of applications. Not for use in food, drug, cosmetic or medical device manufacturing, processing, or packaging operations.

ML4002 is suitable for shaft speeds up to 1885 fpm. The max temperature is 450°F / 232°C and the pH range is 4-10.

The approximate yield for ML4002-3/4 is 2.7 ft/lb.

SEPCO 4461 braided packing

3/4 inch 4461 braided packing.

ML4461 is a high-performing, carbon filament packing treated throughout with PTFE to help prevent color contamination and carbon migration. Each strand of the carbon yarn is treated and impregnated with a PTFE suspensoid, totally encapsulating the packing to prevent carbon filaments from migrating into the system.

ML4461 braided packing is constructed to work best with high temperature and high shaft speed applications. It is recommended for use in demanding applications such as digesters, outlet devices, steam vessels, and top separators. ML4461 can be used in most chemical services, except strong oxidizers.

ML4461 is suitable for shaft speeds up to 3000 fpm. The max temperature is 600°F / 345°C and the pH range is 0-14.

The approximate yield for ML4461-3/4 is 2.5 ft/lb.

Packing rings will not cross-link or fuse in service, allowing for easy removal and elimination of costly spacer rings.

SEPCO 4800 braided packing

3/4 inch ML4800 braided packing.

ML4800 is consutrcuted of aramid fibers. Aramid is a hard fiber that forms imperfectly around a shaft, creating gaps that accelrarate leakage. The aramid fibers are treated with PTFE dispersion, which fills and seals the gaps in the packing fibers. After braiding, a PTFE coating is applied and the packing is forced air-dried. ML4800 packing will not wick.

ML4800 braided packing performs well in extremely abrasive environments. It is recommended for caustics, mild acids, chemicals, air, oil, gases, solvents, and general service applications.

ML4800 is suitable for shaft speeds up to 1900 fpm. The max temperature is 500°F / 260°C and the pH range is 3-11.

The approximate yield for ML4800-3/4 is 2.7 ft/lb.

braided packing installation tool

3/4 inch packing pusher installation tool that allows each ring of packing to be properly seated in the stuffing box.

Each pusher set contains a short pusher (narrow width) and a long pusher (wide width). Both are 48 inches in length.

Seat-It will allow the installer to seat each packing ring so that it will radially expand and contribute to the sealing load resulting in better control of external leakage and reduced sleeve wear.

SEPCO flax PTFE braided packing

3/4 inch 219 braided packing.

219 flax packing is constructed with a square braid, impregnated throughout with a pure PTFE dispersion, which acts as a surface leveler and fills in voids in the packing. The PTFE prevents wicking, and forms a protective shield around the flax fibers.

Recommended for brine, cold water, and cold oil and high shaft speeds. 219 flax packing is used on hydraulic rams, accumulators, reciprocating and rotary shafts, plungers, and stern tubes.

219 flax packing is suitable for shaft speeds up to 1885 fpm. The max temperature is 220°F / 104°C and the pH range is 5-9.

The approximate yield for 219-3/4 is 3.1 ft/lb.
