ML2238 is a specially treated PTFE packing for high-speed applications. Other PTFE filaments glaze or harden because of frictional heat due to high speeds and thermal expansion.

ML2238 braided packing is recommended for the most severe services. Can be used with all oxidizers and corrosives except for molten alkali metals.

ML2238 is suitable for shaft speeds up to 1885 fpm. The max temperature is 500°F / 260°C and the pH range is 0-14.
