Double-acting Turcon® Roto Glyd Ring® is used to seal shafts, axles, cylinder bores, rotary manifolds, and swivels with rotary, helical or oscillating movement. It consists of a seal ring in high-grade PTFE material activated by an elastomeric O-Ring. The O-Ring is not included with this item. The contact surface profile of the seal ring is specially designed for use at high-pressure and low sliding speeds.
Turcon® is the name for the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions range of proprietary polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) based sealing materials. Inherently, PTFE is compatible with almost all chemicals, making it ideal for use in equipment where exposure to demanding media is likely. Filler and special processing technologies give compounds specific operating properties. The materials demonstrate excellent friction and self-lubricating characteristics, making them suited to dynamic and rotating situations.
